The Chicago Blackhawks have given goalie Corey Crawford a six-year extension. Crawford will be paid $36 million over the course of the contract.
The 28-year-old Crawford was selected by Chicago in the second round of the 2003 draft.
Crawford was 19-5-5 in the net for the Blackhawks last year with a 1.94 GAA. He played in all 23 of the teams playoff games notching 16 wins and a .184 GAA.
Nikolai Khabibulin will serve as the Blackhawks backup goalie this year.
