The Miami Heat have waived veteran Mike Miller via the amnesty clause. Miller, 33, had two years and $12.8 million remaining on his contract.
By getting rid of Miller the Heat will lower their luxury tax bill but still be responsible for Miller’s contract.

Miller was a key part of the Heat’s attack in the playoffs connect with 16-of-36 shots from the 3-point line. Any team signing Miller will likely be offering the minimum since he is already getting paid from the Heat.
A former fifth-overall pick in 2000, Miller had spent the last three seasons with the Heat seeing his minutes per game reach a career low last season.
