Lolo Jones was part of a U.S. team that won a gold medal on Sunday in the bobsled-skeleton team event at the world championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
She served as brakewoman for Elana Meyers in the women’s bobsled phase of an event that combined the times of Jones’ event with the two-man bobsled and men’s and women’s skeleton.
While Germany won three of the four events, when all the times were added together the U.S. team finished 0.24 seconds ahead of the Germans.
The difference was Noelle Pikus-Pace who was 1.7 seconds faster than German rival Marion Thees in women’s skeleton. The bobsled of Meyers and Jones finished third in their event.
The run of Meyers and Jones can be viewed below.
