A fan who stabbed another following the NFC Championship game between the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers claims to have acted in self defense.
Cell phone video shows a mob attacking Lewis McCoy outside the Falcons game last Sunday.
“I don’t like watching them because it continues to bring back the memories,” McCoy said.
McCoy says that the incident started when a man hit him for no reason. He was then attacked by more fans before pulling out his knife. A police officer eventually broke up the mob with pepper spray.
The man who was stabbed by McCoy is still in the hospital.
