New Broncos head coach Sean Payton is bringing Davis Webb to serve as the teams’ quarterback coach.
Webb appeared as the backup to Daniel Jones with the Giants lats season.
The 28-year-old will be tasked with helping a 35-year-old Wilson improve among the lowest completion percentage (60.5), touchdown (16), and quarterback rating (84.4) of his career.
Webb was selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft but lasted just one one year with the Giants in his first run with the team while never appearing in a game. After a stint with the Jets, Webb finally appeared in his first regular season game for the Bills in 2021. He would start one game for the Giants in 2022 attempting his first pass and finishing the day completing 23-of-40 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown in a Week 18 loss to the Eagles. Webb also would run six times for 41 yards and a touchdown in what appears to be his last NFL game as a player.
