Denny Hamlin unveiled his 2019 Darlington throwback paint scheme scheme on Friday at Sonoma Raceway.
The paint scheme is a tribute to Darrell Waltrip, the three-time champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer, who is retiring from the FOX broadcast booth after Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350.
Hamlin’s No. 11 Toyota will be sponsored by FedEx and features chrome numbers on the roof and sides.
The car resembles the No. 17 Western Auto/Parts America car Waltrip drove from 1991-1997.
Waltrip drove the No. 11 from 1981-1986. Hamlin has raced the No. 11 since making his first Monster Energy Cup Series start in 2005.
