The San Francisco Giants have activated Jake Peavy from the disabled list while placing Tim Hudson on it.
Peavy will join the Giants rotation in Washington on Friday night after being out since mid-April with back issues. Expectations should be tempered to start.
Hudson is listed as having a right shoulder strain in addition to an issue with his ankle. The 39-year-old Hudson was 5-7 with a 4.68 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP though 15 starts this season.
