When healthy veteran relief pitcher Mike Adams has been a valuable piece to major league bullpens.
This weekend the Los Angeles Dodgers added the right hander on a one-year minor league deal. The 36-year-old would seem to have a good chance of cracking the Dodgers opening day roster as a late inning bullpen option.
The problem for Adams has always been his health. Over the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies he held a 3.50 ERA with 44 strikeouts but pitched just 43 2/3 innings.
