The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed right handed pitcher Brandon Beachy on the 60-day disabled list.
Beachy is working his way back from a second Tommy John surgery and will not be ready to return to action until June at the earliest.
The move to shift Beachy to the 60-day disabled list opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for Dustin McGowan who was signed to a one-year deal this past weekend.
When healthy enough to play, the 28-year-old Beachy has proven to be a viabe rotation piece going 14-11 with a 3.24 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP across 46 big league starts.
