The Oakland Athletics are interested in adding Dave Hansen as their hitting coach.
Hansen would fill the role which was vacated by Chili Davis who left for Boston. Hansen ha been with the Los Angeles Angels as their assistant hitting coach.

A former major leaguer with 15 years of experience, Hansen was a career .260/.360/.369 hitter.
