The Boston Red Sox are not currently looking to acquire Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.

Rumors about a potential trade of Kemp to the Red Sox have floated around multiple times this season but WEEI’s Rob Bradford says that the Red Sox are “not looking to trade for the Dodgers outfielder at the moment.”

A few teams are interested in Kemp but given that he is still owed $107 million, the Dodgers are going to have to eat a substantial amount of money to move him.

Contending teams have been contacting the Red Sox about pitchers Jon Lester and John Lackey. Given the Dodgers desire to add a pitcher some have reasoned that Kemp could be involved in a trade for Lester.

Kemp, 29, is hitting .277/.343/.432 with eight home runs and 40 RBI in 95 games this season for the Dodgers.
