The Los Angeles Dodgers are working towards an extension with manager Don Mattingly which would go beyond the 2014 season.
Mattingly is 260-225 during his three seasons with the Dodgers. His $1.4 million option for 2014 vested when the Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves in the 2013 NLDS.

Last season the Dodgers went on a 42-8 run at one point which paved the way for their playoff appearance. Mattingly will be given a multi-year deal soon with financials to come shortly after.
