Sam Mayer won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen holding off Sheldon Creed on the final lap.
Ty Gibbs began the race on the pole in the No. 19 He Gets Us Toyota Supra. While several cars would make contact with one another, all would stay on the track and the race avoided a caution.
Kyle Busch would pit from fifth place on lap 9 as debris was affected the brakes of his Kaulig Racing machine.
As the laps clicked away Gibbs and Mayer found themselves up towards the front of the field with a two lap shoot out. Mayer would not shy away from contact as Creed went to the front of the field before missing the final turn heading to the white flag.
Mayer would the hold off Creed to score his second career win.
