Will Power was the fastest in the second practice session at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Series points leader Alex Palou was second while Colton Herta who got his third strategist of the season was third fastest.
Saturday’s practice session featured a track that was drying out following rain overnight. The Indy NXT Series ran a practice session prior the IndyCar’s taking the track which did help lay down some additional rubber.
Simon Pagenaud got the session started with an crash in the run off area of turn four after the brakes on his car failed. Fortunately Pagenaud was able to get to his feet and was checked and released from the infield care center.

Qualifying for the race will take place later today at 2:45 pm ET with coverage airing on Peacock.
