Kyffin Simpson was fastest in Saturday’s Indy NXT practice.
The 17 Indy NXT cars took to a damp race track after rain fell overnight. With the track expected to dry out prior to qualifying drivers ran the 13-turn track balancing what they learned on Friday while trying to collect data that may not be entirely useful.
Christian Rasmussen found himself off the track and into a gravel pit early during the session. Almost all of the fast laps were set at the end of practice when drivers got fresh tires.
The Indy INXT Series will run a 35 lap race on Sunday, June 2, beginning at 11:40 am. Coverage of that race can be viewed on Peacock.
