Stefan Wilson’s run in the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500 is over before race day.
Wilson qualified 25th for the Indy 500 and was running practice laps with many of the other competitors in Sunday’s race. As the field began to check up, Wilson was hit from behind by the car of Katherine Legge who was still running full speed. The result was two damaged racecars.

The team has promised more information later. This past Sunday Graham Rahal was the lone driver who failed to qualify for the Indy 500. An issue for Rahal would be that he races for a different team and engine manufacture. J. R. Hildebrand has also been at the track and is an option for the team, however he would be doing so without all the practice that the rest of the field had.
