Packers FB John Kuhn to test free agency

Packers fullback John Kuhn intends to test his market as he enters free agency.

Kuhn, 32, was selected to his second Pro Bowl this season but falls into the category of players who are more valuable to their current team than anyone else as he plays the dying position of fullback.

Last season Kuhn played 249 snaps toting the ball 24 times for 85 yards and a touchdown while adding four receptions out of the backfield for 23 yards.

“It’s a roller coaster of emotions,” Kuhn said on Friday via Arizona Central. “This is a great time, a tremendous experience that I feel like I wouldn’t trade for anything, but then it’s a bittersweet feeling because I would trade it for a win last Sunday.

“It’s a tough situation with some of the losses like the loss we just had in Seattle, but it’s great to reflect on the season that I did have and then come down here with some other really great players in the NFL.”

While Kuhn will say he is testing the market, most signs point him to him returning to the Packers on a team friendly deal.
