The Padres have signed right handed pitcher Brandon Morrow to a one-year contract.
Morrow, 30, has pitched just 87 2/3 innings over the past two seasons missing a good chunk of last season with a finger tendon injury.
Corey Brock of MLB reports that Morrow will earn $2.5 million plus incentives next season. Restarting his career in Petco Park should immediately rebuild his value.

While he has started and pitched out of the bullpen, Morrow should be given an ample chance to land in the Padres rotation.
In his career he has appeared in 231 games – making 108 starts – while posting a 4.30 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP.
