Tony Romo: ‘I would have booed’ Dallas Cowboys, too

The Dallas Cowboys found themselves in an early hole against the New York Giants on Sunday. The Cowboys fell behind 23-0 quickly and the teams quarterback Tony Romo could not help but notice the booing of the home team.

Romo who told the Dallas Morning News that he tunes out the crowd most of the time said after the game “I would have booed us, too. We deserved it that time. We did not start the game the way we wanted to.”

The Cowboys rallied on Sunday and eventually took a short lived 24-23 lead. Romo praised the times the fans were behind the Cowboys but to those watching the game it was noticeable that a sizable portion of the 94,067 in attendance were pulling for the Giants.

“Obviously, they were great today with the way they brought energy,” Romo said. “They helped our defense tremendously. That was as good a home-field crowd as I have been a part of. That’s exciting to have that going forward. We just need to do a couple of things better earlier in the football game. We didn’t do a good job.”

Many of the boos were placed in Romo’s direction. Despite setting a Cowboys record with 437 yards Romo threw four interceptions against the Giants, including three in the games first sixteen minutes.
