Dallas Stars player Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench during Monday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
With 13:37 left in the first period the Stars began to bang their sticks and pouring onto the ice after Peverley collapsed. Peverley was said to be conscious and was taken to the hospital.
The NHL elected to postpone the rest of the game.
Peverely was conscious upon being transferred to a local hospital for further evaluation, according to the Stars.
