Despite a win in Week 2 the Cleveland Browns have Johnny Manziel to the bench. The Browns will go with Josh McCown in Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders.
Though two outings Manziel was 21-of-39 for 354 yards and a 3:1 TD:INT ratio but committed four fumbles – two of which were recovered by opposing defenses.
McCown is nothing more than a journeyman backup who failed as the starter in Tampa Bay a season ago only to wind up on the quarterback needy Browns. McCown is uncertain to keep the starters job and it may not be long before Mike Pettine and company are forced to return to Manziel who at-least offers play making ability.
After a Week 3 match-up against the Raidrs, the Browns have two road gams against San Diego and Baltimore.
