Ryan Williams never played in a regular season for the Dallas Cowboys. On Tuesday the Cowboys released the 25-year-old.
Williams has been considered to be on the roster bubble for months. The Cowboys lost DeMarco Murray via free agency and now appear set to enter the season with Jospeh Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar on the active roster.
Williams underwent a knee procedure in June. His lone NFL action came back in 2012 with the Arizona Cardinals where he played five games rushing for 164 yards on 58 attempts.
