The NFL has suspended San Diego Chargers tight end Antionio Gates for four games for violation of it’s PED policy.
Gates, 35, has been one of the NFL’s model citizens as he enters his 13th season in the leagues and has already denied knowingly ingesting a PED.
The loss of Gates to start the season will force Philip Rivers to target Keenan Allen and Stevie Johnson more. It also frees up more passes for Ladarius Green. Gates caught 69 passes for 821 yards and 12 touchdowns last year.
