The Cleveland Browns have given free agent quarterback Josh McCown a three-year contract worth $14 million.
McCown, 35, flopped famously last year after being given a two-year contract from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers posting 11:14 touchdown to interception ratio while going 1-10 as a starter.
This move reeks of desperation by the Browns who have already lost their confidence in 2014 first round pick Johnny Manziel. It also rules out the return of journeyman Brian Hoyer. Even with his limitations the Browns figure to give McCown the start in Week 1.
