At-least Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon are spending time together. Too bad it is not on the football field.
On Friday night Manziel held a big party that resulted in him showing up late to the Browns facility for treatment on his hamstring reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer. This comes just days after he told reporters that he needed to grow up and attempted to take responsibility for not being ready when called upon.
Also landing in trouble for Manziel’s party was wide receiver Josh Gordon who missed Saturday’s walkthough. The Browns slapped Gordon with a one game suspension while handing out a fine to Manziel.
Gordon’s suspension might cost him his accrued season — and the chance to become an unrestricted free agent after next season. Of course his representatives are already trying to convince the Browns to see otherwise.
Browns corner Justin Gilbert will also not play in Sunday’s game. He too was late to the Browns facility following Manziel’s party. The first round pick had already lost the starting job in Cleveland but will return next year to hopefully prove he is not a first round bust.
