The Tennessee Titans may choose to use their high draft pick on a position outside of quarterback.
Appearing on ESPN’s Sunday Countdown, Chris Mortensen reported that the Titans are “content with Zach Mettenberger.”
Content with is never an ideal term for a team’s leading signal caller so we have to take this report for what it is, team speak ahead of Week 17.
Surely the Titans do not want to give away the idea so early that they are looking for a first round quarterback in next years draft. The sixth round drafted Mettenberger played well at times and has an NFL caliber arm and size but that hardly means they will ride him again next year.
