Bears promote David Fales from practice squad

Chicago Bears v Cleveland Browns
The Bears will have three quarterbacks on their roster this weekend against the Saints.

David Fales will serve as the No. 3 quarterback for the Bears this weekend. His promotion comes after the Patriots reportedly attempted to sign him to their roster.

Fales will be behind Jay Cutler and Jimmy Clausen on the Bears depth chart.

The former San Diego State quarterback was selected No. 183 overall by the Bears this past year. During his final college season he led the NCAA by completiting 72.5 percent of his passes.

Fales will replace linebacker Darryl Sharpton who was placed on injured reserve.
