FOX to air Johnny Manziel’s first NFL start against Bengals

The first NFL start in the career of Johnny Manziel will take place on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

FOX will carry the game as the Cleveland Browns turn over the reigns of their offense to the first round pick in this years NFL Draft.

At 7-6 the Browns have struggled to move the ball in recent weeks suffering losses in three of their last four games. This had led to a decision by head coach Mike Pettine to bench journeyman Brian Hoyer and start Manziel in this one.

FOX has made the decision to air this game between the Bengals and Browns nationally at 1:00 pm ET instead of the scheduled game between the Green Bay Packers (featuring MVP candidate quarterback Aaron Rodgers) and Buffalo Bills. Similarly the network made a decision to play the Browns game against the Indianapolis Colts at 1:00 pm ET last week.

Will Johnny Football deliver or will fans be wishing the network had just left things alone?
