A Chicago Bears fan is in critical condition after he was beaten up during a tailgate party in the parking lot at McCormick Place prior to Sunday’s game.

The victim, 57, was at a tailgate party shortly before 11 am when he got into an argument that turned physical according to police.

The man was later found “incapacitated: near his SUV after suffering blunt trauma to the head and face reports the Chicago Sun Times. The man was found to be heavily intoxicated and is currently at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Thus far police have no one in custody in connection to the beating.

This is the second such beating that has made headlines for a victim being in critical condition. Earlier this month a fan was left in critical condition following an attack in the bathroom at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco, CA.
