Josh McCown leaves poor start with thumb injury

Buccaneers quarterback Josh McCown injured his right throwing thumb in the teams Week 3 contest against the Falcons.

Mike Glennon came in to replace McCown who hit his hand on the facemask of cornerback Robert McClain’s facemask. While McCown first stayed in the game, he soon left.

Prior to departing McCown was just 5-of-12 passes for 58 yards, with an interception. He has not been much better in the Buccanners first two games of the season which both turned out to be losses to teams sporting backup quarterbacks. It may only be a matter of time before Glennon claims the starters role.
