Austin Davis to start at QB for Rams

Austin Davis appears set to start for the St. Louis Rams in their Week 2 contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Rams lost Sam Bradford to yet another knee injury in the preseason and backup Shaun Hill suffered an injured thigh in their season opening loss.

That leaves Jeff Fisher to turn to No. 3 option Austin Davis. While Davis got some playing time posting big numbers in a blowout loss to the Vikings a week ago those stats will not be as easy to come by this week.

Davis was 16-of-23 for 192 yards with an interception while being sacked four times.

If Davis struggles the Rams could quickly turn to Case Keenum who started for the Texans a year ago.

Fantasy Impact: Avoid the Rams offensive weapons. Numbers from Davis a week ago were influenced by the scoreboard which left the Vikings playing prevent for much of the second half.  The Tampa Bay defense becomes a must start in this one and their running backs could see a slight uptick in production as this one expects to get out of control early.
