On the currently depth chart for the Miami Dolphins the team has Lamar Miller listed as their starting running back.

Miller quickly became a favorite for the job as training camp stared but once the preseason rolled around free agent signing Knowshon Moreno began to work his way back into form.

Right now it appears that the Dolphins are fine with Miller starting games ahead of Moreno who is the clear option on passing downs.

There was some indication yesterday that the Dolphins were considering a change after offensive coordinator Bill Lazor talked about the need for Miller to improve on his presason production.

“(I) feel very good about (Miller’s) ability to be productive,” Lazor said via the Miami Herald. “But if you’re talking about the preseason games, his production needs to improve.”

Miller ran 177 times last season for 709 yards scoring two touchdowns and adding 26 receptions out of the backfield for 170 yards.
