All that is standing in the way of Michael Sam earning a spot on the Dallas Cowboys practice squad is a phyical.
The Cowboys are thin all across the defense and a pass rusher like Sam would boost this teams defense. Sam was a casualty in St. Louis because the Rams were loaded on the defensive line. Needless to say the Cowboys do not have that luxury.
The 2013 SEC defensive player of the year, Sam recorded three sacks and 11 tackles during the preseason but went unclaimed on waivers and has yet to be signed to any practice squad. If signed to the Cowboys his debut in the regular season could arrive in short time.
On Monday, Sam was invited to WWE Monday Night RAW and was to be given a live microphone next Monday. That appears to have been declined though the WWE is now promoting Jerry Springer to host a segment with Brie and Nikki Bella.
