Wes Welker can travel with the Denver Broncos to their preseason finale on Friday but has yet to gain medical clearance to play.
Welker has bounced back quickly from his latest concussion scare. He is already exercising and while he cannot yet be involved in contact drills the chances of him being on the field for Week 1 look great.
Even had Welker somehow been given medical clearance to play in the Broncos fourth preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys the chance of him playing were next to non-existent.
The Broncos open their season Sept. 7 against the Indianapolis Colts at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
