It may just be the fourth preseason game but for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Terrelle Pryor it is a chance to prove his old team wrong.
“I told them I wanted to be traded,” Pryor said via ESPN about the Oakland Raiders. “It took a while for them to trade me.”
The Raiders picked up a seventh round draft pick from the Seahawks in April for Pryor.
“At first they didn’t want to, but at the end of the day, I’m here,” Pryor said. “Now I have an opportunity to go play against some [former] teammates and friends and some good players. That’s what I look forward to.”
Pryor is still trying to make the Seahawks roster and thus a big outing against his former team would go a long way to determining his role for the 2014 season. He was just 0-2 with an interception in the Seahawks 4-6 win over Chicago last Friday.
“I want to clean up some stuff from last week,” Pryor said. “That’s it. I just want to play better. I just want to make plays and not try to do too much.”
