LeSean McCoy was forced from Thursday’s preseason game against Pittsburgh with a right thumb injury.
The good news for McCoy and the Philadelphia Eagles is that X-rays came back negative and is not considered serious. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer McCoy avoided any fractures or torn ligaments.
LeSean McCoy has a sprained thumb, source said. No fractures or torn ligaments but out for the rest of the game. #Eagles

On six touches against the Steelers McCoy racked up 50 yards and a touchdown. Right now the Eagles are listing McCoy as having a sprained thumb which is the best case scenario for an Eagles offense already down on running backs.
