The Philadelphia Eagles fanbase held their collective breath as x-rays came back negative on the thumb of star LeSean McCoy.
On the field Kenjon Barner and Henry Josey put on a show.
Acquired from the Carolina Panthers just a day ago Barner ran seven times for 32 yards adding a 22-yard kickoff return.
The undrafted Josey ran up 48 yards on four carries against the Steelers adding an eight yard reception. He also had a 70-yard touchdown run called back due to a holding penalty. If the Eagles cannot place him on their 53-man roster they will try to stash him on the practice roster.
It was important that both Barner and Josey put up big nights as they are competing against each other and Matthew Tucker for a roster spot. Both Barner and Josey seem likely to get a ton of playing time in the Eagles finale.
