The Miami Dolphins have signed free agent quarterback Brady Quinn.

Quinn, 29, did not appear in a regular season game last season after seeing time on the rosters of the New York Jets and St. Louis Rams. With Matt Moore and Pat Devlin both dealing with arm injuries, the Dolphins needed someone to throw the ball around during practice sessions.

While the Dolphins were adding Quinn, the Houston Texans were party with running back Andre Brown.

Brown had been viewed as the backup to Arian Foster as training camp began. Instead reports surfaced that he was last on the depth chart and surprisingly recieved no touches in the Texans preseason opener. Now he has been cut.

Jonathan Grimes is now in position to get carries behind Foster. Alfred Blue is third on the depth chart.

The Texans also cut Dennis Johnson. Last year Johnson appeared in eight games for the Texans as a rookie rushing for 183 yards on 49 carries and catching eight balls for 46 yards.

Lastly the Texans cut Tim Cornett before adding William Powell.
