Sankey, Mettenburger key Titans to preseason win over Packers

Titans rookie running back Bishop Sankey was given the football a lot in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Packers.

A receiving touchdown will overshadow the difficulties that Sankey had on the ground. In total he ran 13 times but managed just 37 yards adding three catches and the touchdown in the receiving game. Right now Sankey remains third on the depth chart behind Shonn Green and Dexter McCluster for the time being.

Making his Tians debut Zach Mettenburger was just 4-of-7 for 87 yards with an interception and a fumble on the stat sheet. However, the former LSU quarterback saved his best work for the end of the game completing three passes for 71 yards to set up a Jackie Battle touchdown run with 5:06 left in the fourth quarter.
