Josh Gordon given speeding ticket, passenger caught with marijuana

Already facing a year long ban from the NFL, Josh Gordon was caught speeding over Memorial Day weekend. Gordon was caught doing 74-mph in a 60-mph zone on Sunday at 9:43 pm ET reports WKYC.

“We are gathering information regarding the situation,” Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement released by the team. “We will not have any further comment until the appropriate time.”

To make matters worse for Gordon is that the passenger in the vehicle was cited for possession of marijuana. While the passenger admitted it was theirs at the scene, some will infer that it belonged to Gordon.

Gordon missed two games last season because of a drug-related suspension. Once he returned to the field he led the NFL in receiving yards. Gordon caught 87 passes for a team-record, and NFL-best, 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns.
