Josh Freeman lasted just one month on the roster of the New York Giants.

Signed to a contact, Freeman hoped to compete for the right to be Eli Manning’s backup this season. Instead he now finds himself looking for another chance.

Following his release by the Buccaneers last season the now 26-year-old Freeman made one start for Minnesota against the Giants. In that contest he looked confused completing just 20-of-53 passes for 190 yards with an interception while overthrowing receivers thought out what was a 23-7 win for the Giants.

Manning, Ryan Nassib, and Curtis Painter all remain as 1-2-3 on the Giants depth chart.
