The stay of Vince Young in Cleveland was a short one after the Browns released the former first-round pick after just 11 days according to numerous reports.

Also earning his release from the Browns was Alex Tanney.

While it was doubtful that Young would have made the Browns roster, getting cut so quickly will not help his future job aspects.

A season ago Young was unable to make the Green Bay Packers out of the preseason. Approaching 31, Young could be done in the NFL.

The Browns are set to enter the 2014 season with Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel competing for their starters role. Tyler Thigpen, who was signed at the same time as Young, is currently the Browns No. 3 signal caller.
