Browns sign RB Isaiah Crowell as undrafted free agent

The Cleveland Browns have added undrafted free agent running back Isaiah Crowell.

Crowell began his collegiate career at Georgia in 2011 rushing for 850 yards (4.6 yards per carry) and five touchdowns before getting arrested on felony weapons charges which were later dropped after police were unable to link him to the gun found in his car.

Still he was dismissed from the Bulldogs and later arrived at Alabama state rushing 170 times for 1,121 yards (6.59 YPC) and 15 touchdowns in 2013.

Despite the off-field concerns around Crowell he has tremendous upside with lateral agility and powerful legs. He will battle Terrance West for snaps as the backup to Ben Tate.
