The Houston Texans will not be giving up a bounty in order to trade for New England Patriots backup quarterback Ryan Mallett.

Texans beat writer John McClain says the team simply has too many holes to fill and he is right.

Expect the Texans to bring in a veteran but it will not be Mallet. These rumors never made much sense.

The Texans have the first draft pick and could choose to take Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel rather than the Patriots 2011 third round pick who has thrown just four passes in his career.
