New Miami Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey supports center Mike Pouncey .Pouncey was implicated in the Ted Wells report as one of the individuals who harassed Jonathan Martin.
“Pouncey is an excellent player,” Hickey said, via the Miami Herald. “I’ve had good conversations with him in the last month. I’m excited about the future.”
Such is the case in the NFL were talent triumphs trouble. One of Pouncey’s co-conspirators in Richie Incognito was let go by the Dolphins recently. Martin still remains on the Dolphins roster but recent conversations between his camp and the team have not gone well.
The Dolphins are said to be ready to welcome Martin back while the offensive lineman’s camp wants his NFL career to continue elsewhere. Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck said on Wednesday that he would be in favor of his former Stanford teammate joining the Colts
Thus far no suspension has been given to Pouncey for his actions.
