The Philadelphia Eagles and wide receiver Riley Cooper are close to a new contract.

Cooper is set to become a free agent, but the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles will soon lock him up with a new multi-year deal.

Cooper was a fifth-round pick in 2010 with whom the Eagles could annouce a new deal with by the end of the week.

Cooper caught 47 passes for 835 yards and eight touchdowns last season filling in for the injured Jeremy Maclin.

It is also said by the Inquirer that Maclin will receive a new deal for 2014 as well. The Eagles are said to only be willing to commit one year to Maclin after he torn his anterior cruciate ligament last July.
