Free agent to be Fred Davis is facing a six-game suspension according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora.
Davis is facing the ban over a violation of the league’s substance-abuse policy.
Davis was banned four games for a failed drug test at the end of the 2011 season.
The 28-year-old Davis caught just seven passes for 70 yards and a touchdown in 2013 for the Washington Redskins.
He’s not coming back to the Redskins and if this ban does indeed happen it will only hurt his chances of landing a roster spot.
