New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is the oldest coach in the NFL at 67 but he’s hopeful for multiple seasons past 2014.

“I certainly do, and I’m blessed with good health and good energy and a routine that I think puts me in the maximum opportunity to stay healthy,” Coughlin said on ESPN’s The Ian O’Connor show. “The other issue, of course, is Judy. If Judy’s healthy, and so on and so forth, and we both feel good about continuing … then no doubt will we feel that way.”

The Giants finished the 2013 season 7-9. The 2014 season will mark his 11th at the helm of the Giants. Under Coughlin the Giants have earned two Super Bowl trophies.

Giants co-owner John Mara spoke positive of Coughlin lately saying he was hopeful of an extension.

“He’s going to be our coach here next year,” Mara said, “and hopefully for longer than that, but we haven’t sat down to even talk about that yet.”
