The Houston Texans will either start Matt Schaub or Case Keenum on Sunday.

Keenum seemed like a longshot to start days ago but has been practicing on a limited basis giving him a chance to be active against Tennessee.

“He was a little sore,” interim coach Wade Phillips said of Keenum following Friday’s practice. “He’s going to be a gametime decision. We’re going to wait and see how Case is. It could be a situation where he wouldn’t be able to start but he’d be the backup.”

The Texans have lost 13 straight games and will either have the first or second overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. Houston will earn the first overall pick with either a loss or a win and a loss by the Washington Redskins.

Schaub’s time in Houston appears to be over but Keenum is trying to earn himself a back-up job for next season. In eight games this season Keenum has completed 54.2 percent of his passes for 1,760 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.
