The Atlanta Falcons have ruled running back Steven Jackson for their Week 3 matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
“It’s short term,” coach Mike Smith said of Jackson’s absence. “Don’t know if that’s two or three weeks.”
Smiths comments suggest that Jackson will miss Week 4 as well and the Falcons may keep him out through their Week 6 bye.
The Falcons are left with Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling at running back.
